| The Aberdeen Gem Trail Project is a plan to develop a trail or system of leisure trails in and around the city of Aberdeen. The project is being organized by the Gem Group, a group that consists of city council members, business owners, community leaders and everyday citizens who share a vision of a better Aberdeen. The trails will encourage exercise, connect local areas of interest and beautify the city and outlying areas. The project is currently in the planning process, and the group hopes to unveil designs for potential routes at Aberdeen Daze. For more information on this project, contact Councilwoman Mary Leisy or Councilman Derek Tilley. | |
| The Mayor's Youth Advisory Council is designed as a forum for the youth of the community of Aberdeen to get involved in the local decision making processes that affect them and their future. Youth on the council sit in at City Council meetings, develop community based service projects, and provide a voice for the youth in matters of the city. The MYAC group is also closely involved with the Bingham County Youth Coalition, a larger county based organization that allows the county’s youth to work together to better the communities in which they live. If you have comments or questions about the MYAC, please contact Councilman Derek Tilley. | |
